Ayush: New export promotion council for Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathic products

Subject: Amendment under Appendix 2T (List of Export Promotion Councils/Commodity Boards/Export Development Authorities) of Appendices and ANFs of FTP 2023 - regarding

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Appendix 2T (List of Export Promotion Councils/ Commodity Boards/Export Development Authorities) of Appendices and ANFs of the FTP 2023.

1. A new entry at SI. No. 39 in Appendix 2T of FTP, 2023 shall be inserted to include AYUSH Export Promotion Council (AYUSHEXCIL) for issuing Registration-Cum­Membership Certificate (RCMC) for the items listed in the table below:

2. Subsequent to inclusion of AYUSHEXCIL in the Appendix 2T, the existing entries at SI. No. 2 and 17 for Basic Chemicals, Cosmetics & Dyes EPC (CHEMEXCIL) and Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (PHARMEXCIL) respectively shall be amended as under:

3. The RCMCs issued by CHEMEXCIL & PHARMEXCIL till the date of issue of this Public Notice, for the items now allocated to AYUESHEXCIL, shall remain valid till their expiry.

Effect of this Public Notice: AYUSH Export Promotion Council (AYUSHEXCIL) has been included in the Appendix 2T of FTP, 2023 for issuing RCMC for specified items, with immediate effect. Accordingly, the products falling under jurisdiction of CHEMEXCIL & PHARMEXCIL have been revised and their contact details have been updated.
